Octave Mandolins

The Mia FOT-9E F-Style Octave Mandolin has an internal dual position passive pickup. She also has a solid carved spruce top, solid carved figured maple back, sides and neck. The neck is fitted with adjustable truss rod, bone nut and rosewood fretboard. The finish is a hand rubbed oil and shellac. The sound of this octave mandolin is lyrical and big like a Baptist choir. The haunting Irish tones beg for a drum, fife and jig to join right in. The one in the picture is ready to ship. The Mia FOT-7E F-Style Acoustic/Electric Octave Mandolin with Active system has a solid carved spruce top, Solid Carved figured maple back, sides and neck. The F-Style Mandolin design of this robust Octave mantdolin gives it all the volume of a mandolin guitar. Full and resonant. This model has F-holes, but can be ordered with Oval hole as well. She is is fitted with a bridge transducer and an active system preamp with built-in bass, treble, volume and tuner. The blending of chords, deep bass and lyrical sustain makes me never want to put this instrument down. It sounds gorgeous. The volume is huge and the bass is delicious. The neck is fitted with adjustable truss rod, bone nut and rosewood fretboard. The finish is a hand rubbed oil and shellac. This Octave mandolin shown is in the Pulaski finish.
